The GRACE Foundation is an initiative created by the peace ambassador Sabine Lichtenfels.

Her goal is to carry out peace and aid actions in the name of GRACE, provide a globally networked training in inner and outer peace work, the so-called “Global Campus”, and prepare the establishment of peace research villages worldwide.

 

As a co-founder of the Peace Research Center Tamera in Portugal, she has repeatedly organized aid actions in distressed areas on earth. During the past five years she has led international pilgrimages for a future without war. In 2005, alarmed by the impending war against Iran, she made a pilgrimage through Europe and the Middle East. Under the motto “A peace village instead of a tank” she sought out sponsors who were willing to invest in peace. She called this “the humanization of money”.

 

Sabine Lichtenfels is working and living for a future without war – in the interpersonal area as well as in global fields of conflict. By personal example, she has shown what true peace work means. Her use of the word “grace” combines charity in everyday life with the message of global healing.

The GRACE Foundation has the task of financially supporting the actions and events that she initiates and of facilitating the realization of her worldwide idea of healing.

What do we mean when we say “invest in peace”?

The GRACE Foundation is a non-profit foundation; it initiates and finances research and education projects for establishing peace villages worldwide and for training peace workers. Investments in such peace projects do not generate financial returns. But they all the more generate quality of life and the creation of a new culture. The success of our projects increases the powers of healing on earth. It promotes a peace-generating intelligence and an understanding of what is needed for a truly non-violent culture to emerge. It also increases the possibilities for a growing number of people to lead meaningful, healing and fulfilling lives. An “investment in peace” thus does not result in a financial return, but in a return that serves peace and the creation of new life structures. Future generations will thank you for this.
